The José Cura International Connexion began on September 30th 1996. Some UK opera fans had been so impressed with José’s early performances in 1995 in London that they backed Jane Austin’s proposal to start a fan club. When the negotiations were completed José became the President of the Club.
Jane produced a Newsletter, the ConneXion, every quarter and membership gradually grew and became worldwide. A network of friendships and contacts has thus been built up over the years. The membership changes from year to year but has recently steadied at about 150. Several of the original members are still active and some newer members have taken an active role in the events of the club. We have members in Japan, Canada, USA, Australia and Europe.
Chairperson: Jean Winyard

We provide

Ø The Newsletter is by members, for members and goes to members only.
